is this precious love and laughter
This is an in-depth training course for anyone drawn to the path of the Sacred Clown. The aim is to liberate self-expression, discover creative and light-hearted solutions to the trials of life with humour and compassion, develop artistic skills with a view to performance as Sacred Clowns within our communities, and to begin to learn the art of the clown as a healer, with the ability and responsibility to transform suffering to joy. The course comprises three sections in the UK and one week's residential in Ibiza, Spain. There will be projects between course dates, and a performance in the residential home for the elderly in Ibiza as a part of the training. Previous

AWAKENING TO JOY !
11th & 12th October 2008 Venue: The Seekers Trust, Centre for Prayer & Healing, Addington, Kent This is a weekend of joy, laughter and reconnection to your heart's energy and the humour residing there. We will play, dance, sing, improvise with each other, building a place of trust, safety and happiness. Free to explore the discovery of the red nose in peaceful and beautiful surroundings, to take risks, to be silly, to have fun ! To be silly means to be blessed, and we will be discovering some of the essential magic of the path of the Sacred Clown as we surrender to the beauty of the moment. Moving from stillness to craziness, offering ourselves up to create joy for the rest, we will start to get a flavour of the sacred clown's calling. For anyone interested in the one year training, this would be an ideal place to see if this work is for you. For anyone wanting to have a great weekend of light-relief and joy, this is the perfect moment. Non-residential

Darkness to Light. A wonderful week to explore how we can bring more
peace and joy into our own lives and those of others. Looking deeply
into our own hearts, we find the place where awareness, love and compassion
can heal our wounds and we can enjoy life more. We will work with meditation
and movement, masks, dance, singing, writing and ritual, creating treasure
maps to share our passions, reawakening our sense of joy. By plumbing
the depths with the warrior's courage, we emerge light and playful with
deep inner peace. Expect to share from the heart and laugh a lot !
Saturday 31st March to Wednesday 11th April 2007 CORTIJO ROMERO,
SPAIN Re-discover innocence, simplicity and spontaneity ! Trust, be authentic, find light-heartedness and serenity ! The sacred art of clowning leads to a child-like emptiness from which joy can arise. We'll play and explore the journey to the red nose, work with meditation, movement, mime, music, make-up and costume, celebrating with a final group performance. The course can release enormous joy and sadness and as Clown is Master of emotion, we find ways to feel deeply, let go and experience more fully, moving from one thing to another without attachment.
